Mr. Kaplan brings to McNamara & Associates, Inc. twenty-one years of experience in various functions such as Human Resources, Sales and Operations.
In Bill’s last position, as Section Sales Operations Manager with Philip Morris, he was responsible for all key sales strategies and initiatives. He directed daily operations of the Metro sales organization comprised of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Rockland counties, Southern Connecticut and New Jersey. He was responsible for over 200 employees, $450 million in sales and managed a $41 million annual budget. Bill analyzed and interpreted market trends, brand performance, promotional and fixture programs via market data. He provided training and support to meet the needs of the sales organization which included, Game Plan Planning Process and Partnership Selling Skills.
While in the Human Resource function, Bill was responsible for all Human Resource activities for a sales region comprised of ten northeastern states (Maine to Delaware). The region had 550 employees with an annual payroll of over $24 million. In this position, Bill handled all Human Resource functions such as: Employee Relations, Performance Management, Diversity Initiatives, Compensation and Benefits Administration (including 401K plans), and the Implementation of a Managed Care Approach to Healthcare Coverage.
Bill designed and implemented innovative training programs for sales management such as Diversity, Recruiting and Selection Techniques, Sexual Harassment Awareness and Progressive Discipline.
Bill holds a BA Degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College and is a member of the American Management Association and the Society for Human Resources Management. Bill also holds a Certificate in Employee Relations Law by the Institute for Applied Management & Law, Inc.
